Rizwan Desai
Rizwan Desai is a leading corporate and commercial attorney .
Mr Desai specializes in high-end commercial transactions across various industries, spanning mining and energy, financial services, capital markets, banking, private equity, and securities. He also has extensive experience in general business law, including joint ventures and merger and acquisition transactions. Widely regarded as first-tier and among the foremost corporate and transactional lawyers in Botswana, he is a former Chairman of Barclays Bank of Botswana and the Botswana Stock Exchange, and currently serves as Chairman of Botswana Development Corporation.
Admitted to practise in the courts of Botswana, he is also qualified as a solicitor in Scotland and in England and Wales, and is admitted to practise as an attorney in the State of New York.

Lesego is a Partner at Desai Law Group, having progressed through the firm from Intern to Associate and Senior Associate. His appointment reflects years of dedication, consistent excellence, and strong professional growth within the firm. Lesego advises clients on a range of corporate and commercial matters and has also been involved in litigation and dispute resolution work.
He is admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of Botswana, the Court of Appeal, and all lower courts of Botswana. Lesego graduated top of his class from the University of Botswana in 2020 and is a graduate of the Allan Gray Orbis Scholarship programme, receiving several merit awards from leading local and international practitioners and firms in recognition of his academic achievements.
